About Ts. Dr. Manju Appathurai
Ts. Dr. Manju Appathurai is a clinical psychologist and leadership adviser, and the Founding Principal of Mahat Advisory, a clinical leadership and AI advisory firm working across nine ASEAN markets. Her work sits where psychology and leadership meet, helping senior leaders build the trust, safety and resilience that let teams perform.
She holds a Master of Psychology and maintains active clinical practice at EFPA EU Level B standard, alongside dual PhDs in Artificial Intelligence and Crisis Economics. She is also a Licensed Technologist (Ts.), author of eight books and host of The Centered Edge podcast.
Dr. Manju has advised the World Trade Organization, the World Bank and the Malaysian government, and has delivered more than 100 international keynotes on leadership psychology and human behaviour. Her experience spans executive development, AI governance, leadership psychology, board governance, succession and ASEAN strategy.
She is also a two-time Chief Executive Officer with full P&L responsibility across EUR 19.6 million and RM 61 million businesses. Today, she is building an AI mental health platform as CEO and Chief Clinical Officer, alongside Mahat Advisory, Meru Academy and Leadership Minds.
