About Leka Hattori
Leka Hattori is a Brazilian speaker whose unconventional journey from professional chef in London to the NASA innovation ecosystem has shaped her work on human decision-making under pressure in the age of AI.
She is the creator of Mente em Órbita, a proprietary framework that helps people and organizations preserve judgment and decision quality as AI accelerates the speed, scale and complexity of decisions.
Since 2018, Leka has served as a Local Lead of the NASA Space Apps Challenge in Brazil. Her methodology supported a Brazilian university team that won the global competition in 2019 and a public-school team from Bahia that received global honorable mention in 2022.
She is also the creator of Hack@Schools®, a TEDx speaker, G100 Brazil Country Chair, member of Austria’s Bold Community, Climate Reality Leader and Analog Astronaut.
Her work explores a critical question for organizations adopting AI: how can human beings maintain the capacity to decide with criterion when technology makes decisions faster, more scalable and increasingly persuasive?
