Carrie Forbes

Carrie Forbes brings over 25 years of experience leading organizational transformation at the intersection of technology, finance, and the public sector. As founder of Rockstar Advisory, she advises fintechs and financial institutions, particularly credit unions and community banks, on AI adoption, technology partnerships, and the human dimensions of digital change.

Her executive career spans financial services, banking, and government. As CEO of League Data, she led a comprehensive transformation of the banking ecosystem for 46 Atlantic Canadian credit unions, encompassing core banking, API enablement, cybersecurity, machine learning and governance modernization. Prior to that, she held roles with the Province of Nova Scotia — in the Chief Information Office and the Public Service Commission — focused on digital strategy and the organizational and human side of transformation. She also spent a decade with Scotiabank in progressive leadership roles.

Forbes serves on the Technical Advisory Board of the Global Skill Development Council (GSDC), contributing Generative AI in Finance expertise. She has spoken on AI adoption at AICON Halifax (2026) and FinovateFall New York (2025), and hosts “The Disruptive Jam,” a podcast featuring innovators working in the AI landscape.

Recognized as the 2024 International Woman of the Year by Open Banking Expo, Forbes brings a practitioner’s perspective to AI strategy, responsible implementation, and leadership transformation in regulated and mission-driven institutions.
