Dr. Amara Osei-Kwame is one of the most consequential voices in international AI governance, bringing to every engagement a rare combination of regulatory depth, enterprise fluency, and lived experience across the Global South. He served as Advisor to the OECD AI Policy Group, where he contributed to the design of the OECD AI Principles framework and advised national governments across three continents on AI strategy, algorithmic accountability, and digital rights. He now serves as Chief AI Officer at a Fortune 500 enterprise, overseeing responsible AI deployment across global operations spanning 40 countries.
Born in Accra and educated across West Africa and Europe, Dr. Osei-Kwame speaks with authority to audiences who understand that AI governance cannot be designed in one timezone or for one hemisphere. He has appeared before the European Parliament, the African Union Commission, the G20 Digital Economy Task Force, and the United Nations AI for Good Global Summit. He holds a doctorate in international law from Sciences Po Paris and is a Distinguished Research Fellow at the Oxford Internet Institute.
